Part of Information Technology’s (IT) responsibility is supporting university owned software in ways that
meet university priorities. These priorities include software that is reliable, compatible, secure, cost
effective, and meets the needs of employees. IT is committed to this challenge so employees are
empowered to be efficient and innovative while teaching and running the business of the university.
This policy establishes standards and procedures for the request, purchase and support of software.
The Chief Information Officer in collaboration with the Cabinet approves this policy. The Information
Technology (IT) department implements and maintains this policy.
