Part of Information Technology’s (IT) responsibility is supporting university owned computers and peripherals in ways that meet university priorities. These priorities include technology that is reliable, secure, cost effective, and meets the needs of employees. IT is committed to this challenge so employees are empowered to be innovative while staying highly interconnected within Evangel’s (EU) network and services. This policy establishes standards and procedures for the request, purchase and support of these technologies.
In an effort to be wise stewards of university resources, IT will ensure that technology purchases meet the following standards:
- Compatible with EU’s network environment
- Comply with EU’s security policy
- Fulfill needs assessment
- Comply with hardware support standards
- Stay within operational budget (including initial and recurring costs)
Evangel University's Presidential Cabinet approves this policy and the Information Technology department (IT) implements and maintains this policy.
