Printer Toner, Paper and Repair Information


Purpose: To outline areas of responsibilities for maintaining the university printers.


Each department/area is responsible for replacing toner for their printer(s).

  • When the low toner indicator is showing, please submit a Helpdesk ticket with your request for toner ( for tracking purposes.
  • Include the Printer Name (e.g. IT1) and the Lakeland ID number.
  • The Helpdesk will let you know when the toner is ready for pick up.
  • Once the Helpdesk has the toner, you can pick it up from the IT Helpdesk located in Riggs Hall 102.

You will not be charged for the toner cartridges.

Also note that the Lexmark brand toners can be sent back to Lexmark for recycling. There is a postage sticker in the bottom of the box for shipping.


Your department is responsible for purchasing paper for your department printer(s). Purchase paper from Admiral Express ( for the university discount. Contact the Mail & Print Center to get an account setup for purchasing.

Errors & Malfunctions

If your printer is not working correctly, submit a ticket ( Include the Printer Name (e.g., IT1) and the Lakeland ID number. Helpdesk will diagnose the issue and resolve it, or contact the printer service contractors for additional support. 

Note: Helpdesk desk will take care of Toner and Paper needs for computer labs.
